Fresh Explosions Rock Southern Beirut Amid Escalating Conflict

**Beirut** — Fresh explosions have been reported in southern Beirut, with sources indicating that an area just outside the airport was struck by an Israeli air strike. 

Earlier, the Israeli military issued evacuation warnings to civilians near specific buildings in the southern suburbs of the city.

In the occupied West Bank, Palestinian health authorities report at least 18 fatalities resulting from an Israeli air strike on the Tulkarm refugee camp.

The price of crude oil surged by 5% following remarks from U.S. President Joe Biden, who mentioned ongoing discussions regarding potential Israeli actions targeting Iran's oil industry.

This escalation comes as Israel commenced a ground invasion in southern Lebanon earlier this week. Since October of last year, Lebanese officials report that 1,974 individuals, including 127 children, have been killed in Israeli attacks.
