John Amos has died. Born in 1939, Amos began his acting career in the early 1970s with roles in various television series. His first role was in a 1970 episode of "The Bill Cosby Show," playing a salesman. He appeared in a number of roles in the 1970s, including Sugar Sweetback's Baadasssss Song and The Best Player in the World, as well as television series such as Sanford and Son and Maude. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Amos died of natural causes on August 21, at the age of 84.
